A Victorian charter supporting people in care relationships was launched on 23 June 2010 by Lisa Neville, Minister for Community Services, Senior Victorians and Mental Health.
The charter acknowledges the important contribution made by Victorian carers. It articulates the rights and responsibilities of people in care relationships and outlines how they can best be supported by organisations, governments and the community. The charter also encourages caring families to access the services available to them and provides practical help in finding out what is available.
