Sharing the care: the future of caring in Australia

Carers Victoria submitted to the Inquiry into Better Support for Carers and presented at their Public Hearing in Melbourne.

We outlined a program of practical reforms – to income support and taxation, to workplace regulation and practice, and to the services supporting those who are providing and receiving care – that must work together to share the responsibilities of caring and to protect caring families from social isolation, financial hardship, poor health and disadvantage.
