Re-visioning recognition and support for caring families: Carers Victoria Submission towards a National Carer Strategy (December 2010)

Caring families has told us that carers will be best supported by a framework that acknowledges and supports their needs and the needs of the relatives or friends they care for.

We need a vision that acknowledges both interdependence and autonomy, a strategy that draws together services for people with support needs and services that support their families and uses scarce resources more efficiently and effectively at all life stages. We need a vision that supports and promotes ‘A good life for all’.
