Carer Payment (Child) Review

The objective of the carer payment is to ‘facilitate caring in the community and ensure that carers have adequate levels of income and maximum opportunities to participate in society’.

This submission recommends broad policy reform to facilitate a care, work and life balance for carers and their families.  It particularly recommends reform in two areas affected by Carer Payment (Child) eligibility criteria – income support and workforce participation.
